How do I make the first client in social media marketing?

 As a Social Media Marketer that I am, I will tell you this for free. Getting a first time client while marketing what you do on social media is not easy honestly. You may see people that will question you about what you do, make enquiries on how you can work for them and every other thing, but in the end, they won't show up or get back to you.

So getting your first client in social media marketing, you have to start with showcasing what you can do. You can offer to manage social media for a friend, a small business or even your own page as a portfolio. You share your results and stay complete active on LinkedIn and also join any freelancer platforms.

Most importantly, be confident, reach out personally and show how you can help their business grow. Just with one great result, many more results will come.
